About Me
Somatic & Parts Therapy in Virginia
I tend to be a good fit if…
You understand yourself, but things still aren’t changing in the ways you want.
You’re open to processing at a deep level and working with patterns as they come up—not just talking about them.
I’m not a “just sit back and nod” therapist. I’m engaged and active in the process. I’ll help guide you through what’s coming up—not just listen from the sidelines.
I bring honesty, curiosity, and humor into the room.
My approach
My work is trauma-informed, connected and attuned, and grounded in the body and emotions.
I draw from somatic therapy, parts work (Internal Family Systems), and attachment-based approaches. I’ll help you process emotions safely, build more internal regulation, and develop a clearer sense of yourself as you are now.
I’m also certified in the Narrative Enneagram.
Most of all, I enjoy the process. I like working with you to find what actually helps things shift.
I work with clients of all identities, including LGBTQ+ individuals, and aim to create a space where you can show up fully as you are.
Why “Now Is Different”?
I came up with the phrase "Now Is Different" when I was in college. It was a reminder to myself that change is possible in any moment, even when things have felt the same for a long time.
That idea has stayed with me, and it's at the heart of how I approach therapy. We can get stuck in old patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating that keep us from being who we want to be now. As we work through those patterns in a safe, regulated way, we can "catch up” to our present.
